Rest and Restore Protocol
"Return to yourself through the transformative power of sound." - Unyte ILS
About Rest and Restore Protocol™
The Rest and Restore Protocol™ (RRP) is an app- based musical intervention designed to entrain rhythms of specific parts of the autonomic nervous system which support homeostasis, optimal function of the body.

This five hour protocol helps create conditions that feel steady, grounded, and supportive. The Rest and Restore Protocol™ provider co creates a safe listening environment. A safe environment coupled with the music encourages a sense of internal balance and ease, without acting on specific physiological systems.
The protocol offers calming auditory cues that can help listeners settle and unwind. This may support a shift toward a more relaxed state and create space for reflection, comfort, and gentle decompression. The body has the opportunity to enter into deep parasympathetic nervous system restoration and repair.

Many listeners describe experiencing a deep sense of quiet and stillness during sessions. This calm settled state help people feel more present and receptive. RRP couples perfectly with other recovery practices and methods, actually enhancing outcomes, shortening the healing journey time.

How does Rest and Restore Protocol™ work?

While research and development are ongoing, RRP is informed by decades of research studying physiological rhythms in the body. RRP embeds biological rhythms into unique musical themes, signaling the healing functions of the autonomic nervous system.
Rest and Restore Protocol™ is delivered exclusively by certified providers through digital delivery via the Unyte platform. Participants experience a dynamic, progressive program through the five hours of Sonocea® Enhanced musical themes. Participants in RRP will also learn about the vagus nerve and how it helps us survive and function in this world. Participants learn the signs of their nervous system dysregulation as well as learning a variety of regulation exercises promoting regulation of vagus nerve. The Rest and Restore Protocol™ can be administered in person or remotely. Both delivery methods produce excellent results.
What is Nervous System Dysregulation?
The nervous system plays an important role in maintaining overall health and well-being. It’s responsible for transmitting signals between different parts of the body, and is essential for the optimal functioning of various bodily functions and processes, such as movement, digestion, respiration and cognition.

Regulating the nervous system is crucial for maintaining overall well-being and enhancing daily life. A well-regulated nervous system allows individuals to respond effectively to life’s challenges, replacing emotionally charged reactions with controlled responsiveness and resilience. This improved emotional control helps people feel better and navigate stressful situations more easily. When the nervous system is dysregulated, the effects may be felt throughout the entire body. When the nervous system is regulated, the whole body benefits.

Some signs and symptoms of dysregulation are:
-
Emotional signs: mood swings, anxiety, depression, irritability, overwhelmed, difficulty feeling calm and relaxed, symptoms of PTSD
-
Physical signs: nervous tension, muscle tension, pain, digestive issues, sleep disturbances, low energy, reduced motivation, persistent exhaustion, headaches
-
Cognitive signs: persistent worry or fearfulness, chronic stress, poor memory, difficulty concentrating or focusing, feeling disconnected from self, others and surroundings
