What We Do

Beyond the ordinary

The NRG (energy) Wellness Group helps you to overcome the impacts of difficult life experiences with a focus on physical and emotional trauma in new and gentle ways, using frequencies. Yes, beyond the ordinary.

You can free yourself from pain and feel more connected, more energized, and be free to be more of your true self.

According to Dr. Bessel Van der Kolk, a world-renowned expert on trauma, “Trauma is an inability to inhabit one’s body without being possessed by its defenses and the emotional numbing that shuts down all experience, including pleasure and satisfaction“.

Where Does Trauma Come From ?

Trauma has been defined as frozen feelings, or a chronic disruption of connection. Another definition of trauma is not the event itself but the lasting impact on the body and mind, where the body continues to relive the experience long after it has ended. Both of these definitions are correct.

How do we end up with trauma? Through a variety of experiences both novel and repeated, where our needs are not met. Our bodies and minds are impacted until we safely address the experience and gain new understanding about them.  There are many origins of trauma. Types of trauma can be physical, mental/psychological, emotional, medical, spiritual, developmental, shock (PTSD), religious and transgenerational. Anyone can be suffering from one or more types of trauma at a time.

Compassionate Inquiry, Theraphi, Safe and Sound Protocol and Rest and Restore Protocol ALL address trauma no matter the origins. Each modality is helping people to address their trauma or stress in supportive and different ways. We meet with clients to craft the just right combination of therapies to uniquely suit each individual. To learn more please contact us for a complimentary consultation.

Whether you are knowingly being impacted by trauma or not, all our therapies improve living and enjoying life…not just for folks with trauma. Everyone is welcome to try any of our modalities.

Our Services

Our goal is to provide natural and effective mind-body solutions that will guide people to happier, healthier, and more meaningful lives. We are supporting people to heal from their traumatic experiences and move past where their nervous systems became stuck in defense and survival. All of our methods of working with people are holistic, non-invasive, gentle, and uniquely effective. Our four primary frequency-based methods include the following and can be supported with herbs, reflexology, and other natural modalities.

Theraphi

Working on physical and emotional levels, the TheraPhi process supports the body to be restored to a healthier more ordered state. The TheraPhi enhances the body’s own healing through cellular regeneration.

Safe and Sound Protocol

This protocol is a non-invasive application of Polyvagal Theory based on decades of research and developed by Dr. Stephen Porges. The Safe and Sound Protocol has proven effective in a wide range of studies to dramatically improve the quality of life, both for individuals and their families.  It can impact us internally by how we feel and think, and externally in our ability to connect with others and the world around us. Safe and Sound Protocol has been proven to improve symptoms of trauma - PTSD, anxiety, depression, and many more.

Compassionate Inquiry

Developed by Dr. Gabor Mate, Compassionate Inquiry is a powerful tool that can bring the person’s awareness to childhood events that were painful and difficult to bear, and that the person has protected themselves from experiencing. Compassionate Inquiry helps people to become liberated from traumatic experiences and the resulting underlying beliefs with life changing growth and healing.

Rest and Restore
Protocol

Developed by Dr. Stephen Porges and Anthony Gorry, Rest and Restore Protocol™ (RRP) is an innovative, clinical-grade listening therapy designed to help calm and restore mental and physical functioning. RRP is informed by decades of research studying physiological rhythms in the body, including heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and in the gut, alongside deep knowledge of advanced sound technology. This scientifically engineered acoustic signal and music support deep relaxation and optimal recovery through vagus nerve regulation.
